its five branches located in Convoy, Middle Point, Ohio
City, Willshire and Wren comprise the first County
Library formed in the United States. The Library clearly
serves as an outstanding example of great foresight and
philanthropy, a true cultural legacy. |

 On Friday, June
19, 2009, Governor Ted Strickland proposed that the Public Library Fund (PLF) be
cut by 50% in order to balance the State of Ohio’ 2010-2011 budget.
